There is no such thing as wisdom devoid of spiritual awareness, what we call daat in Hebrew. People can be nuclear physicists, brain surgeons or computer engineers without spiritual awareness. Such highly-trained professionals are basically top-level technicians, several rungs higher on the technical ladder than electricians, auto mechanics, or plumbers. You don't need wisdom to unclog a drain or to send a satellite into outer space, only a certain level of technical expertise.
You do need wisdom to differentiate between good and evil. On the wisdom ladder, an upright shoemaker or street cleaner is light years above a PhD whose head is full of lust and debauchery.
Rebbe Nachman teaches us that the epitome of wisdom is truly knowing that we know nothing. So, if a person has good sense, he or she will connect with Hashem, for Hashem knows everything.
