The Prophet Malachi (3:19-20) teaches us that at the end of days, the sun's intensity will increase, vastly heating the earth. The wicked shall burn like straw but the righteous shall be healed.
Our sages elaborate that as we arrive at Judgment Day, Hashem will "remove the sun from it's protective cover." In a nutshell, that's what global warming is all about. We can see that all over the world, there are record temperatures, floods, and climatic craziness.
The "Ramchal" of saintly and blessed memory, Rabbi Moshe Chaim Luzzatto writes in his Kabbalistic discourse Pnot HaMerkava says that the naked light of the sun will be illuminating for those who love Hashem. In other words, for them, it will be beneficial.
