Emuna News prediction: Expect another civil war in Lebanon. Thanks to Nasrulla and the Hizbolla, with Assad and Achmedinejad's sooty fingers in the stew too, the anarchy of the late 1970's is returning, and it doesn't look like the weakling pro-Western regime in Beirut will be able to hold on. The CIA is no match against Syrian and Iranian intel on the latter's home turf. If the CIA had any brains, it would be fanning the fires of Sunni and Shiite hatred within Syria, to give Syria a taste of her own nasty medicine that she concocts in Lebanon. But, if the CIA had any brains it wouldn't be the CIA.

Hashem is doing everything for our ultimate welfare, so don't worry folks. The more we strengthen ourselves in prayer, in emuna, and in Torah, the more Hashem will fight our battles for us. An hour of hitbodedut (personal prayer) will save ten hours in the bomb shelters. So, let's all talk to Hashem for an hour a day.

Silly Gag Order

The gag order on the latest investigation against Israeli PM Olmert seems rather ridiculous when the story was plastered all over ABC News yesterday. Well, that's not the only ridiculous thing going on falafel-regime politics. Wait and see how the Prime Minister wiggles his way out of this too. No, Tzippel'e, you won't be Prime Minister.

The Miserable 1701

Without emuna, people are blind as bats. Adding arrogance to blindness renders a person completely daft.

Olmert's own party comrade and government minister, former IDF Commander-in-Chief Mofaz, is now crying to Condi that UN Resolution 1701 is meaningless and that Hizbolla controls South Lebanon while the impotent UN Force drinks expresso and plays backgammon. Duh...

When the ink on 1701 was still wet back in August of 2006, we here at Emuna News said that 1701 is not only a meaningless piece of paper, but detrimental to Israel. We also gave a rundown of the Bluster Boys that run this country. Hashem is exposing the corruption, ineptitude, and inability of immoral, self-serving leaders that try to uproot Judaism from the Jewish nation with their inane policies.

Moshiach is fast on the way. The self-destructing regime that fails to appreciate the gift of our Torah, our faith, and every grain of our Holy Land from Mount Hermon in the North to Eilat in the South, will soon give way to Hashem's anointed. I pray to The Almighty that the transition should be peaceful and merciful. Our prayers and spiritual strengthening will make the difference. Please don't waste a single erg on activism. Hashem wants us to rely on Him only, not on flesh-and-blood. Let's do just that, for our own good.

We'd Better Wake Up - Now

Today's headlines are one big conglomerate wake-up call from Hashem - it takes a deaf, dumb, and blind person to ignore them.

We can no longer take our water for granted, as the Kinneret is nearing crisis-level.

We can no longer take basic foodstuffs for granted.

Winds of war are blowing from the north.

Our silly government is taking apart the country ( Golan, Jerusalem, with more on the table)  with its own soiled hands, secretly and unilaterally bending to the demands of those committed to our destruction, G-d forbid.

Katyushas continue to fall in Ashkelon, and no one says a word.

One of this generation's best loved tzaddikim, Rav Mordechai Eliahu shlit'a, is in serious condition after suffering a heart attack. May Hashem  grant him a full and complete recovery, amen.

When will people start taking Hashem's messages seriously?

Meanwhile, there's plenty we can do and no need for despair.

First, we should say our basic blessings, especially those over food and water, with much more intent.

Second, we should spend at least ten minutes a day asking Hashem to bring Moshiach and the Geula mercifully, and not with sever judgments.

Third, we should invoke Divine mercy by spreading emuna as far and as wide as fast as we can.

Fourth, we should correct our own faults without looking for faults in others.

Fifth, we should all devote at least 60 minutes  a day to personal prayer.

Sixth, we should all take upon ourselves something additional in Torah study.

One we wake up on our own accord, Hashem won't need to use the scary wake-up calls.

Emuna News Update: Don't Blame the Soldiers

Earlier today, 3 Israeli soldiers were killed in Gaza. Although the details are not yet clear, it seems that the Hamas faked an infiltration that drew an Israeli unit right into a deadly ambush. The media reports that an an operational mishap occurred during the soldiers' raid.

Don't blame the soldiers - the Givati boys are courageous, dedicated, and skilled. But, they can't do a thing unless Hashem delivers the enemy into their hands.

Nobody wants to understand. The euphoric and dishonest government wants its citizens to sleep easy at night because of a ridiculous Arrow missile simulation that successfully mock-intercepted a mock-Iranian missile. The whole silly project costs millions. Meanwhile, the anti-emuna government doesn't have an answer to $100/piece home-made Qassam rockets from Gaza, 9 of which fell today in the south of Israel. The intoxicated illusion of security is fooling people into trusting in America to defend us. The silly Green-Pine radar from a base in Island is supposed to alert us on a missile fired from Tehran to Tel Aviv - what a sick joke. Yet, people prefer to trust such a wobbly reed rather than trusting in Hashem.

Here's news, folks: Nothing can help us or save us except Hashem.

Meanwhile, a new enemy is attacking our soldiers - 3 were bitten by snakes yesterday. Snake bites are a clear expression of Hashem's displeasure.

What's going on?

Who intends to give away the Holy Land that Hashem gave us to our enemies? The current Israeli government.

Who has sanctioned the sale of chometz on Jerusalem's streets during Pesach? The Israeli courts, with the government agreeing. Yet, a so-called religious party continues to perpetuate that government. My goodness, how many can blind people...

Who has adopted an official policy Impurades and Gay tourism? The Israeli government.

Is this how we act to Hashem when we need His urgent help so badly? When our Northern border is like an overloaded pressurized powder keg?

People ask me why Rav Shalom Arush cries all day long. He sees what's happening, and it's awfully scary. This update hasn't scratched the surface...

For Goodness Sake, Israel, wake the heck up!! Can't you see that Hashem has turned away from our ridiculous ways? The only way to help ourselves is teshuva - right now!

Congratulations, Nahal Haredi

Our congratulations to the Nachal Haredi and its commander, my dear friend Lt. Colonel Itzik Gai, who now boast there own full-fledged special forces commando squad that specializes in anti-terror warfare. Last year, during a Shabbat that I spent on the Jordan border with Itzik and one of the Nachal Haredi companies, I met some of the young men that were candidates for recon training. These are certainly Israel's finest. May Hashem bless them with safety and success, and may their swords soon turn into plowshares, amen.

Emuna News Special Report: The Sword on Israel's Jugular

Israel faces its greatest existential threat in its history. At this very moment, every single city, town, and village between the northern border and Dimona is a push-button away from oblivion, for the triple menace of missiles from Syria, Hizbollah, and Iran rest like a sharp sword on Israel's Jugular. The fact that the Israeli media and the Israeli government are hiding this unequivocal fact makes it no less acute. One cannot demand from leaders and their mouthpieces that lack principle, conviction, foundation, and a basic common sense to tell the truth to the people.

Our veteran readers and friends know that we are anything but doomsday prophets. Those who know Rav Shalom Arush shlit'a (photo, left) know that he is the happiest of people and always smiling. But of late, as one of this generation's holiest and righteous men, he has taken the burden of the Jewish people, particularly those in Israel, on his shoulders. In the last two months, he has aged ten years. His eyes are bloodshot from crying to Hashem, praying for the people of Israel for hours on end.

Last night, Minister of Commerce and Industry Eli Yishai came to see Rav Shalom. Eli Yishai (photo, right) briefed Rav Shalom on the security situation and the missile threats from Iran, Hizbollah in Lebanon, and Syria. He also asked Rav Shalom to pray for the army since one of the Israeli Army's highest ranking generals - a completely non-religious individual - approached Yishai after a Defense Committee meeting in the Knesset and begged him to mobilize the tzaddikim in prayer, because the army has no answer to the missile triple-threat. If the south of Israel has become so vulnerable to home-made Hamas Qassam rockets, then they surely have nothing to answer the threat of Syria, Nasrulla, and Iran.

A reliable Emuna News source told us earlier today that Israel is so badly rushing the USA to expedite the delivery of 100 F35b's with vertical take-off capability because defense authorities are afraid that Israel's airfields will be incapacitated in the first round of missile fire.

Hizbulla's missiles have all of Tel Aviv in the cross-hairs. Yet, Olmert continues to fiddle like Nero and Tel Aviv continues in its campaign to be gay-tourist capital of the world, Heaven forbid.

Just a few days ago, Rav Elyashiv, one of this generation's foremost scholars and lawgivers, said that the current existential threat that Israel faces is greater than the danger on the eve of the Holocaust.

After the Nazi Holocaust, people all over the world shrugged their shoulders and said. "We had no idea!" With everything we've been yelling about here at Emuna News, no one will be able to say, "We didn't know." Folks don't want to know. Knowledge of today's facts necessitates teshuva.

Israel's domestic intelligence chiefs just this week admitted that Abu Mazan and the Fatah are no peace partners, for soon the Hamas will sieze the West Bank also. Emuna News told you that over a year ago. Soon, Hamastan will become a 4th missile threat from right next door to the center of Israel. Yet, the Neroic Olmert-Barak anti-emuna further hastens national suicide by sending more arms to the PA. Like in Gaza, these too will eventually fall into Hamas hands.

Update: Three hours after this post was published, the Jerusalem Post published its leading headline that Defense Minister Barak is afraid of a Hamas takeover in the West Bank. Once again, Emuna News is way ahead of the media and the politicians.

There is nothing in this report that's new other than verifications of what Emuna News has been saying for the last two and a half years since the second Lebanon War when a much weaker Hizbollah than today succeeded in firing 4000 rockets on Israel, which led to a million people fleeing from their homes.

The people of Israel stand in the shadow of a dark cloud of severe judgment. We must drop everything and return to Hashem. For those that think we're daft, pour yourself another expresso and delete the Beams from your favorites list. For those of you that have the slightest trust in me, please do your utmost to strengthen your emuna and do genuine teshuva.

I'd much prefer posting a pleasant musical video clip like we normally do on Fridays. But now's not the time. The people of Israel worldwide must wake up. If you think you'll be cushy in Thornhill or in Great Neck while missiles are falling on Israel, you're wrong this time. Hashem is judging us this very moment. The evening of Shabbat Parah is time to purify ourselves. Let's invoke Divine compassion by turning the tides of assimilation and spiritual contamination with a worldwide return to Hashem. Our lives depend on it.

Decline of the Dollar

Last year at Purim, the US dollar was worth nearly 4.50 NIS (new Israel Shekels). This year, it's worth 3.39. That's a whopping 25% decline in one year.

Israelis with greenback-dollar savings have been taking a beating on paper. In search of advice as to whether to dump for a loss and salvage what they can, or to hold on to the greenbacks and pray for better days, many folks have turned to this generation's tzaddikim for advice.

Depending on the tzaddik you go to, you might get a complete opposite answer. Rav Eliezer Berland said publicly in one of his recent lessons that the dollar is degenerating fast, and by Rosh Hashonna 5769 (this coming September), it won't be worth a wooden nickel. Therefore, according to Rav Berland shlit'a. folks should dump the greenbacks while they still can.

On the other hand, the leading Sephardi Kabbalists and the Gerrer Rebbe shlit'a have told people to hold on to their dollars, because the greenback will make a big comeback.

So who do you listen to?

First of all, according to Chassidic thought, when the tzaddikim of this world are at odds with one another, it's a sign that the same debate is going on in the Heavenly Tribunal.

The historical precedent is the Napolean-Russia War of 1812. Back then, the tzaddikim were also at odds with one another. Rebbe Menachem Mendel of Rimnov wanted Napolean to win the war, because he thought that the Jews could serve Hashem much better under the French Emancipation. The Koznitzer Maggid and the Chozeh of Lublin wanted Tzarist Russia to win the war, since they thought that emancipation would be a mortal blow to the Jews, and that it would lead to a drift away from traditional Judaism. The same debate between the tzaddikim was also going on in the Heavenly Court; that's why Napolean's campaign in Russia was so bitter and bloody. In the end, the Koznitzer Maggid and the Chozeh gained the upper hand, therefore Napolean lost.

If I'm not mistaken, the same debate is going on right now in the Heavenly Tribunal. Rav Berland wants all of Israel to trust in Hashem only, to learn complete emuna, and not to depend on flesh and blood. Therefore, he wants the dollar to die, so that all of Israel will turn to Hashemn and not to the greenback. The Gerrer Rebbe and the Kabbalists think that the Jews will serve Hashem better when they they have money in their pockets, so they want the dollar to be strong. The Heavenly Court will make it's decision according to what is most beneficial to the Jews; in other words, how the Jews can best serve Hashem.

To my dear brothers and sisters overseas - don't think that the value of the dollar abroad doesn't affect you. While the property values of Five Towns are going down and down, the property values of Ramat Bet Shemesh, Yad Binyamin, and other places in Eretz Yisrael are doubling. These are hard facts that anyone can verify.

My suggestion is that you bet on Israel and Moshiach. Trust in Hashem, and not in the dollar.

No solutions

Rav Shalom Arush came to Ashdod yesterday, where he delivered one of the most emotional talks I ever heard him give. Among other things, he said:

* There is no military solution to the Arab-Israeli conflict;

* There is no viable political solution to the Arab-Israeli conflict;

* The security situation here is worsening because of spiritual apathy;

* Hashem has put the people of Israel in a situation where nothing can help them but teshuva, prayer, and hafatza (spreading emuna). There is no government in Israel that can solve today's problems.

* Hitbodedut on Purim can achieve miraculous salvations.

Rav Shalom is neither an alarmist nor a doomsday prophet. Yet, he's terribly troubled about Israel's predicament. He urges everyone to devoteat least 10 minutes a day in praying for the Jewish people in the Land of Israel.
