CD and Book orders: All orders that reach us after 1 PM EDT this coming Wednesday, 16 April, 2008 will be processed and mailed only after Pesach; in other words, on April 28, 2008. Therefore, if you need any Emuna Outreach CDs or books, please get your order in before Wednesday.
Correspondence: The intermediate days (Chol HaMoed) of the Pesach and Succoth festivals are my annual vacation time, when I double up on Torah learning and attention to my family. Therefore, during the period of Friday, April 18 - Monday, April 28, 2008, I will be responding, G-d willing, to letters of an urgent nature only.

"Segula" for a good income - on the Tuesday of the Parshat Beshalach week (today), our sages tell us that it's an opportune time to recite "Parshat HaMan", the story of the manna, the Heaven-sent bread that sustained the Children of Israel for forty years in the desert. One should read it in Hebrew if possible, twice mikra and once targum. For your convenience, here is a clearly presented Parshat HaMan. If you read English only, then you can find Parshat HaMan in your English Chumash, Exodus Chapter 16, verses 4-36. May Hashem send a wonderful parnassa to Zeev Zalman ben Chasia, to Avraham Dovid ben Chana, and to all of you and your loved ones, amen.

My youngest daughter Sarki (short for Sara Kaila) is 16. She's a dream daughter, honey-sweet, and an honor student. Our Chassidic way of raising our children doesn't include computers, TV, radio, or video. When Sarki does research for a term paper, she plows through the bookshelves rather than the search engines. She doesn't know what PhotoShop is, but she paints beautifully. Here's her very first oil painting, which she completed last week, a still life:
Also, happy birthday to my oldest son (today, Rosh Chodesh Shvat), Rabbi BenTzion Brody of Jerusalem. BenTzion, father of six, devotes his life to Torah study. He plays the guitar, and often does hitbodedut with guitar in hand.
