Look at the above picture. Our friend Yaron doesn't know what the inside of a gym looks like. But, he gets more exercise than most people. You see him carrying two five-gallon jugs of mineral water, each weighing 20 kg (44 lbs.) in what's called a 'farmer's carry" in fitness jargon. Gym guys do this same exact exercise with kettlebells or dumbbells. Yaron's form is perfect - shoulders down and back, chest forward, spine erect and great posture. To be able to do this task (exercise) properly, Yaron is engaging his core and a long list of muscles in his arms, shoulders, back and legs. In short, he's virtually engaging his whole body.
Hold on - he's not finished yet: Yaron is about to carry those two mineral water jugs up a flight of stairs. As you can see, Yaron looks healthy - he is! Plus, he has read all of the Emuna books and he talks to Hashem every day, so he's happy too.
All this is within your reach. You don't have to shlep five-gallon water jugs, but you don't need a gym either. See how in Fitness in Five, my feature article in this week's brand new issue of Breslev Israel web magazine.
